1. What made you create this platform?

-I created PerFit Rocks for many reasons. First, it's a fun way to see different shapes and sizes of diamonds on your hand, on your time. With that, it's a great way to start a conversation about getting engaged and what you want in an engagement ring. This can help alleviate the stress of finding ways to talk about your wants vs. budget. It also gives you, your partner, and your jeweler a head start on finding something that you love and will be proud to wear as a symbol of your relationship.

2. What features does it have and how authentic is it?

-The user experience was very important to me when creating the app. It is really simple and straightforward. First, you take a picture of your hand. Then, you drag the solitaire ring over your finger, going to the next screen will lock it in place. Once you've done that, the fun begins! You can then swipe through different shape and size diamonds, along with your metal of choice. Once you've picked your diamond, the next screen allows you to swipe through some essential ring styles like three stone, string of diamonds, halo, vintage, and the classic solitaire. Then, the next screen allows you to change the background of your picture, you can go to space, be in paris, on the beach or in the woods with your ring! After that, you have the option to share it with whoever your heart desires. You can skip this and your picture will save to your own feed within the app. Design as many ring styles as you'd like and see them all in one place.

As far as authenticity, the diamonds are to scale so if you use the guide to take a picture of your hand, you'll see how the diamond stacks up against your finger! I also couldn't create something without being myself, so you'll see some of my personality sprinkled throughout your experience on the app, website, and social media.

3. Do you work with other jewelers?

-Not yet. We just launched in the beginning of April and I see partnerships on the horizon. Being in the industry for so long, and as a lover of fine jewellery, I am particular about who I potentially partner with and I would never recommend somewhere or someone that I wouldn't shop with myself.

4. What inspired you to create this app?

-I've been in the jewelry industry for almost 20 years, specifically engagement rings; and I never felt that there was a shortage of choice when it came to trying rings on. However, when I was getting engaged myself, I wanted to see what looked best on me, and I found myself being frustrated that diamond rings weren't available to try on in all the different shapes and sizes. I also understood that on the jewelers' side, it's impossible to stock all the different combinations of shapes, sizes, and metal colors. Fast forward to current times, continuing to help couples find their dream ring, the moment came where I thought "there should be an app for that!"

Most importantly, I have two children, nieces, and nephews; I wanted them to see that with hard work, you can pivot and create a new path for yourself at any time in your life and you have to take risks in order to pursue your ambitions.

5. Is this something that can be used at a bridal party and not just for engagement rings?

-I think it is! It's a great way to try rings on with your friends without going into a jewelry store. There's no rule on who can buy a diamond ring, you can refresh or upgrade your current ring or buy one for yourself. Whether you're single, engaged, or married, most of us have thought about what (other) ring looks great on our finger. Plus, there's always reasons to expand PerFit Rocks in the future to encompass all kinds of bling!

Please let me know if I can provide anything else!
