Wedding gift etiquette can be hard to keep track of since every couple is different. Most to-be-weds and wedding guests consider a gift is kind of a must. We always encourage wedding guests to give something whether its cash, charity, or their registry.

Now we get asked a lot if guests should provide any pre-wedding gifts.  Although the same rules apply, a bridal shower is technically a gift-giving event. So unless there is a clear sign or the bride had specifically told you "no gifts" then its best to not show up empty handed.

We highly suggest for you to buy gifts for both events, but if you are on a tight budget then we suggest you splitting your budget between the two items. This the perfect way to avoid overspending on their gifts and you will have an item for each event.
